These scholarships cover all expenses for studying in Germany for the academic year 2024-2025. Every year, up to 40 students receive sponsorships from the FES to study for free in Germany. Eligibility Criteria:
For Undergraduate and Masters:
- Must have confirmation of acceptance or enrollment at a state or state-recognized German university or technical college for the desired course.
- Foreign applicants must show they have adequate German language skills.
- First-year students (both German and foreign) should apply either before or at the start of their first semester.
For PhD:
- Must have received unconditional notification of admission to the doctoral scholarship.
- Foreign applicants must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in the German language.
Academic Requirements:
- Good Academic Record: You need to have excellent academic performance. If required, you should provide your first graded academic achievements.
- Social and Political Engagement: You should be involved in social and political activities and share the values of social democracy.
- Personal Qualities: You should be responsible, motivated, and reliable. You should also be willing to participate in the Foundation’s network.
- Language Skills: You should have a good understanding of German, even though the courses are conducted in English.

- For the Summer semester, the deadline is 31 May 2024.

How to Apply for Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship 2024?
Step 1:
Apply Online Visit the FES website and complete the online application form. Ensure you upload all required documents.
Step 2:
Wait for a Response After submitting your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email. It may take up to three months for the selection process.
Step 3:
Attend an Interview If your application is shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an interview. This interview could be conducted either in person or via video conferencing.
Step 4:
